A continuation of Paul's sell-out talks that have been held this year.
Talk#3. “Nothing to see here – just some evidence of the cover up revealed”.
This talk will look at some of the verified and documented events and actions taking place on the night 15th/16th August, 1943. You may be surprised about just how busy it was on that cloudless, full moon night in and around Ventnor and St Lawrence. We use these verified and documented events, to cross examine the official, RAF unit records found at Kew in the National Archives. I do this to demonstrate that these RAF records were changed. These changes can only be part of the government cover up activity concerning the raid. Were RAF Regiment squadron 2745 really outside the defensive perimeter of RAF Ventnor, at 1am in the morning, high up on Boniface downs, “PRETENDING TO BE GERMANS”?
We unfold the real events using our findings and local knowledge to further demonstrate there was a rapid and aggressive cover up going on, about the German Kommando raid that night.
We will go through aspects of the newly created detailed timeline. Its contents created from 7 different archive and documented sources, now combined into one single, flowing and overlapping description of what really happened really that night. This combined timeline creates a fantastic resource enabling us now, to better understand what actually did happen on the night of the 16th August, 1943.
There will a small exhibition open before and after the talk.
