St Lawrence Village Hall is the hub of this wonderful village. We want this to continue for years to come, and offering occasional help or becoming a trustee to secure the future of the village hall for the community.
No special expertise is needed – just enthusiasm. We have a WhatsApp group for non-committee volunteers. We put out a request for something - make a cake or put up a poster - and you simply say 'yes' or 'no'.
Having a pool of helpers makes such a difference, and isn't particularly onerous on any one person.

Would you be interested in becoming a trustee?
St Lawrence Village Hall is a charity run by a Management Committee made up of a group of volunteers from the village, our Trustees. All Trustees are unpaid so give up some of their time for free.
We're a friendly bunch with a fairly even 50:50 male to female mix. Some of us are working age, some semi-retired, some retired. One thing we have in common is that we love this village and want the village hall to be here for years to come, for everyone's enjoyment.
The Management Committee meets just 4 times a year.
Some of the trustees have set up a Social Club sub committee, to provide the residents of St Lawrence with a place to socialise with friends and neighbours in the village. We host a monthly pop-up-bar, and other social events such as quiz nights, talks and shows.
All funds raised go towards the upkeep of the village hall.
The social club members meet 2-3 times a year to decide on the calendar of events. We also have a friendly WhatsApp group for informal discussions.
